Hospitality is the way we turn a prejudiced world around, one heart at a time.” -- Joan Chittister Have you ever wanted to participate in IHN, but held back because you weren’t sure what it was about? Have you thought about signing up, but backed down at the last minute? Discover what IHN is about and then take the steps to participate in the ministries of our church.

Here are some of the ways YOU can help.

Dinner Preparers—You and another member will prepare dinner for the families. The meal should be delivered to the church between 5:30 and 6:00 PM on the designated day.

Dinner Hosts—You will arrive at 6:00 PM to make final preparations for the food and then eat with the guests. After dinner, you will clean up and put any leftover food away. Sometimes guests will watch TV or return to their rooms. The children will usually play or do homework. At this time, your responsibility is to be present until 7:00 PM when the evening tutors and children’s helpers arrive.

Tutors and Children’s Helpers—You will arrive at 7:00 PM to assist with homework or entertain the children until the overnight hosts arrive.

Overnight Hosts—You will arrive at 9:00 PM to sleep. Most guests are already preparing for bed. Hosts usually bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. Cots are provided. Guests wake up around 6:00 AM and have breakfast. The van picks them up at 7:00 AM.

Please consider helping out, even if it’s just once a year. It is also helpful for the church office to have a list of people to call when there are empty spots.
